Summary of Donations to Blood Cancer UK
Julian's family wish to support Blood Cancer UK [previously Bloodwise] because achieving their two main aims will greatly benefit those who, like Julian, are afflicted with aggressive blood cancers such a Burkitt's lymphoma. One aim is to press for earlier diagnosis of blood cancers which is crucial for successful treatment and subsequent life expectancy. This requires greater knowledge and awareness among GPs, better diagnostic tools and much quicker access to specialists. A second aim is to develop far kinder treatment regimes than the current, frankly brutal, chemotherapy.
