I have very fond memories of Julian, camping in the Lakes, canoeing for the first (and only) time in my life and going to gigs in Glasgow and Barrow. Julian was always very generous to me despite us being very different characters. He always made me feel valued and welcome. He would laugh at my largely inappropriate jokes without judgment which I really appreciated.
